Gambling Control Act 2025 in force since 26 August 2025 (BCLB replaced by the GRA). Regulations published late June–early July 2026 (online casino licence: KES 50 million on grant, 5 million/year, capital 100 million, bond 100 million). Licences under the former regime expired on 24 September 2026, extended by 60 days (reg. 30(1)) during the first licensing round; judicial review of the fee schedules, High Court judgment expected on 2 October 2026 (press).

What a player risks
