- Gaming House Operator Licence (Gaming Act 2014): 'domestic' gaming in shops and online (lottery, slot machines, sports betting) reserved for residents; land-based casino licences (reserved for non-residents)
- Key facts
- The Gaming Act 2014 legalised 'domestic' online gaming through the licensed web shops (player accounts, online slot machines, lottery, sport). Public Notice No. 1 of 2026 (14 July 2026): reminder that the player accounts of the Gaming House Operators are to be used for gaming only. The land-based casinos (Atlantis, Baha Mar, Bimini) have no licensed online offering and are prohibited to Bahamian residents.
- Offshore sites
- No offshore licence is recognised: online gaming is legal only through the 7 licensed Gaming House Operators; offshore sites are unauthorised but rarely blocked in practice.
