The CGA register distinguishes licences of indefinite duration from “Assessment in progress” renewals. 17 September 2026: the CGA announces unauthorised access to its online licensing portal; 22 September 2026: it confirms that a security researcher extracted operator data via an account created under a false identity (Dec. 2025 - Sept. 2026) and has strengthened the portal's security. The public validator cert.cga.cw shows, for each licence holder, the status and the list of approved domains.

What a player risks

This jurisdiction licenses operators that mainly serve players in other markets. Its licence does not make play legal in the player's own country and does not replace a local licence where one is required. A player using such a site from a market where it is not licensed has no protection or dispute resolution from that market's regulator, and deposits, payments or winnings may be blocked or confiscated. Depending on the law of the player's own country, fines or prosecution may apply. The register records for Curaçao: Offshore hub: the CGA licence allows foreign players to be served except in the countries the operator must exclude (countries where online gambling is prohibited or subject to a local licence); players resident in Curaçao are not the target of the online licences. Legality for the player depends on their country of residence.

What a Curaçao licence covers

A licence from an offshore hub is issued to operators that serve players abroad. It is not an authorisation under another market's law, does not by itself make play legal for players anywhere else, and does not replace a local licence where one is required.
